Eddie S. Meadows is Professor Emeritus of Ethnomusicology and Jazz Studies and former Graduate Advisor of the School of Music and Dance at San Diego State University (SDSU). He is the author of Jazz Scholarship and Pedagogy: A Research and Information Guide (Routledge), Bebop to Cool: Context, Ideology, and Musical Identity (Praeger Publishers), and co-editor of California Soul: Music of African Americans in the West (University of California Press).

An awesome resource. Brings up many gems that don't always pop up in internet-centric research database searches. Includes very helpful short descriptions of each entry. Like De Lerma for black music but for the next generation of researchers. A must have!!!
