After many years working with telecommunication, I recently began working with microwave remote sensing. In the process of familiarizing myself with the new topics I consulted several books. However, the book I ended up coming back to again and again was "Introduction to microwave remote sensing" by Iain Woodhouse. It is well written and provides an excellent and extensive introduction to the various aspects of remote sensing. The book is well structured covering the need for measurement and how microwave remote sensing addresses this need for various application areas. Highly recommended.
